Florida
Spring ~~ 2005

We left Colorado Springs bright and early on a beautiful
spring day........ just in time to miss the snow storm that arrived
later that afternoon!!
We found this old boat and dock behind
a local business. I think the boat had seen better days!!
We were quick to find a white sand beach nearby.
Then on to Tarpon and a taste of Greece.
We enjoyed walking the sponge docks where we could see
lots of working boats...these are shrimp boats.
We found this little dock along one of the many spring fed rivers.
We were lucky enough to see a Manatee and her baby swimming next to
the dock. They really were shy and did not want their pictures taken....
so you have to look close to see them

We spent a day just seeing sites.

This old sugar mill dated back to the early 1800s.

A passing rain storm gave us a chance to sit under
a pavilion next to this fishing pier.

Linda could hardly wait to walk in the sand of an ocean beach near
Daytona. We still love the ocean.
As we left Daytona.... we found a neat place to stop.
Here we could enjoy the sunset and Daytona's skyline...
Our last night out..... we decided to have fresh sea food at Mike's
Dockside! Ohhh was it yummy. The atmosphere was great with live
music and lots of people.
After dinner we headed out to the marina for the last
time this trip.....
and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset to end
a perfect vacation.

We had a great time... and as always hated to see it come to an end.....
but we can now start our plans for our next adventure!
